1999 Se Firewall Question

I'm installing some 4G wire tomorrow for my amplifier for a sub, and at this point i have been unable to find a hole to run it through.

I have not jacked the car up to look, but do you guys know any specific place to look, or if it comes down to it ( i hope it doesn't) where is a good place to drill a hole. I need it to be on the drivers side if all possible.

Thanks, you guys are the best!

there are some rubber grommets on the drivers side you should be able to fit a wire through.

Re: 1999 Se Firewall Question

As Ride states there are several existing gromets that you can use. When I was installing stereo units for an aftermarket place we often used those gromets so we did not have to drill new ones.

The way we used to get through the gromets was to use a coat hanger, we would cut off the hook part and bend it straight, look for a gromet that will give you enough room to work with. Carefully slide the hanger through the gromet and then tape your wire to the end. We used to have two guys working the wire through, especially when you get to the point of putting the new wire through it will help to have some one on the inside and one on the outside to help get it through. It may be easier to put the wire through the fire wall from the inside of the car to the outside. It may also take several attempts, I can remember the frustration of having the wire slip off the hanger just as it was about to make it through. If you have any other questions feel free to Private Message me if you like I'll help out in any way possible.

Good luck

Re: 1999 Se Firewall Question

As ride stated there is a gromet on the drivers side up to the right side of the brake. I cut mine abit in order to run my 4G wire through. Also Hoags is right. Coat hangers are a god sent when running wire, use this information wisley.
