3.8L V6 1993 Olds 88 Royale what engine years will replace

I have a 1993 Olds 88 Royale with what appears to be a Rod knock noise along with some metal on metal grinding.

I would like to know which 3.8L Olds or GMC eninges are direct replacement(s) for this make and model car?

Easiest would be any model 3800 from 1992-1994. They're all pretty much the same engine.

well 92 was EGRless so not sure if that would affect the harness.


93/94 will work fine.
