1992 buick regal custom...IN HELP BAD!
well i blew my engine last nite. it is a 3.1l now...i need a new engine. is it poss. to take a 3.8l engine from a bonneville ? or is there anyother car that i can do that in?? need ENGINE BAD AND FAST. thanx alot guys and gals

Call your local salvage yard. The 3.1 is common to buick, chev, pontiac.

Should work but you will need a PCM from the 3.8 as well as a wiring harness. Your transmission should handle it as long as you don't go with a supercharged version. Try cherry-auto.com or car-part.com to help you search for an engine.

Any of the 91-94 3.8's from GM will mount right in. I'm not sure which tranny the 3.1 has, but the 4T60E is the tranny that the 3800 works with. I'd find a wrecked grand prix or regal GS from 97 or newer, and swap the engine and tranny, you'd have the fastest 92 regal around if you did that.

the pcm and engine is all u need! everything else just plugs rite in! i did a swap on my buddies beretta and my 93 regal from a 3800 to a supercharged 3800! tell yea what its crazzzy fast good luck
