MoDifications

Hey All,
I got my 2001 Jimmy, and want to do SOME kind of modification to it to make it MINE. Has anyone put exhaust on theirs??? If so how does it sound? Does anyone know where i can hear one? Ive got the 4.3 V6...i'd really like to get that but any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Re: Re: MoDifications

thanks

good luck with your exhaust. BlazerLT has sound clips on that link. I don't have sound or photos. I'm just a stock 97 Jimmy except with Flowmaster exhaust and K&N Intake.

Re: Re: MoDifications

I've heard decent things about Flowmaster, Ravin, and Gibson. The choice seems to be 'how much flow' vs 'sound'. My Flowmaster has a nice powerful sound - sometimes though, a little tiring on long trips - also, it has almost a "pitch" to it ... almost a "hum." The Ravin brochures claim to flow more. I should say, the horsepower gain was very noticeable when I went from stock to the Flowmaster ... and perhaps even more noticeable when I simply did a tune-up. I was pretty amazed at what simply changing the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pvc, and clean my throttle body did for my truck.

Flowmastermufflers.com has many sound clips online (which of course are there for a purpose if you know what I mean).
