Upgrades - Suggestions?

OK, I've got the new tranny getting shipped to be installed and the engine is O.K. for now. I'm planning a bunch of upgrades, both performance and appearance wise, and am looking for suggestions.

My wish list is as follows, although not in any order regarding priority. IF anyone has any suggestions regarding brands of anything listed, please feel free to share them with me. As it says next to my name - I'm a newb.

Shocks - to raise the rear back up from sagging.
Tune up items - plugs, cap and rotor, wires, etc...what are the best plugs to use with the 4.3L, wires etc...?
Throttle Body spacer - worth the effort?
K & N filter setup - other brand?
Tail lights - Altezza or similar style (undecided)
Stereo
Tires
Mirrors
Rims/tires for summer - 17-18" Anyone have any suggestions on brands of wheels for the truck that will work with 4WD?
Brush guard
Front seats
Steering wheel

Any other performance upgrade suggestions would also be greatly appreciated. I intend to spend a few hundred dollars a month and have all of it done before winter hits. I've thought about a performance exhaust, headers, that kind of stuff, but am unsure of the benefits, and the few hundred dollars a month is a target, not a hard line budget so I can go over a bit if I think it's worth the money.

Please feel free to chirp in on anything that you feel may be worthwhile.

Glad that the Tranny worked out for you Joey.

Get your rear Springs re-arched, and if the shocks are bagged replace them them. Shocks won't raise the back (at least they aren't suposed to)

Tune up is probably the place to start, and I've been told that those throttle body spacers do help.

I'm not convinced about K&N's performance claims, but they are a good air filter.

And if your leeather Seats are Wine colored Please give me the first dibs on them! I'll give you what you figure a fair price is.

It sounds like you know what you want, and it should all work good.

My Bodyman friend told me that the tail lights are the same as the S-10 pickup.
