how to convert from 88 LG4 serpt. alternator to the older large case alts ?

i need to convert my 88 305 caprice's smaller later serpt belt style alternator over to the larger case old style alternator,

i have harness plug and wire length for case plug to convert that to old style, and i know how to swap alt pulley and all that, is there anything i should be aware of or know other than these two things ?
