code po150
Hi
I just bought 1996 Nissan Maxima v6 and the code po150 and po325 just came out.I checked the codes and P0150 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1) .What does Bank 2 Sensor 1 means .Which O2 sensor do i need to replace and how many O2 sensors does it have? P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single Sensor) .I guess if i change O2 sensor i might not need change knock sensor. |

Re: code po150
A circut malfunction is usually indictive of faulty wiring or a bad connector. Definatly check wires and connections to these sensors 1st. On my 2001 max SE bank 2 is closest to the radiator. Sens 1 is closest to the exhaust manifold. (farthest sensor from muffler) My 2001 max has 4 o2 sens. 2 on each bank 1 b4 and 1 after the pre cat. By the way you have 4 cat conv. also. More crap to break as far as I'm concerned.

Re: code po150
good luck with the knock sensor code. Actually, I wouldn't even worry about it, it won't turn on your check engine light.
the P0150 is pretty common. Nissan even had a recall for their crappy o2 sensors. bank 2 sensor 1 means Bank 2 (the side with cylinders 2,4.&6) the upstream o2 sensor (the one before the catalytic converter) i'm not sure where nissan puts them, but usually the asian cars have them in the exhaust manifold. |
