Power Window Problems

My power window on the drivers side is possessed. Pushing down on he button closes the window while pushing up gets it to go down-thats right the opposite of the way it used to work. The window also seems to be off track. Am I looking at two different problems here electrical and window track or are they somehow related? Any ideas as to what will need fixing or replacing would be helpful.

sounds like the window regulator came apart. part is probably around $150 labor $125 at a dealer.
