Left Blinker messed up??

this has been going on with my 95 grand prix for like a year at least, and ive never fixed it. a lot of the time when i go to put my left blinker on, the blinker will go on, but freeze and stay lite up. it will not blink. i was told that it could be a relay and read may be a fuse. anyone have this problem b4? whats the best way to attack this problem? thanx

First off, check your bulbs. The blinker will not flash if a bulb is burnt out. On occasion, the bulb will break contact and then reconnect if the filiment is broken, and will a cause random malfunction of the turn signal.

The bulb filiment can connect and disconnect due to vibration, causing a random malfunction. By tapping on the bulb, you can see the filiment jump around if this is the case. If you replace the bulb and it still acts up, either the turn signal switch or the socket the bulb plugs in to is bad.
