The engine management for the car should begin working on by the end of the month. Unichip device will be installed in the single turbo kit this week, so hopefully some numbers very soon.

Re: Turbo Time...
WIth low boost levels maybe, but no one has really tested the tranny out yet. A large Tranny Cooler would be a must and then Valvebodies would also be a nice upgrade. Check out CPE on www.mazda6tech.com for more info on their tranny kit upgrades.

Re: Turbo Time...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that there were any changes to the engine from 03 to 04 so I think it would work. Only way to find out is e-mail wagner

Re: Turbo Time...
damn.. this turbo will give this engine maybe about 320 horses and will make this car at least look superior in performance to the mazdaspeed6. except for the handling in the awd. just imagine if they used the v6 engine in the MS6 instead o the 2.3L 4 banger...

Wagner Motorsports actually worked on my car (2003 Mazda 6s) a little over a year ago on a twin turbo kit. When the kit was complete, the amount of time involved to install the kit would have been extensive and the cost would have risen for the kit. SO, the kit was scraped for a single turbo setup, which will be more geared to performance. We are still awaiting Unichip for engine management, hopefully we'll see results in the coming weeks.

Re: Turbo Time...
Yeah not a problem. Since I've gone through 2 different engine managements over the last few months, I am really looking forward to getting Unichip. However, I've gone in a different direction with this car in last few months...show car now. I won't be getting Unichip until mid to late November (working on audio install), but the single turbo kit hopefully will be getting his this week or the next.
I'll post once I hear any good news. |

Re: Turbo Time...
Cool thing about the turbo kit is, It will void your warranty on every inch of that car. If you want turbo, Just trade in your 03 - 05 for the 06' Mazdaspeed Turbo.
The Auto tranny won't handle the turbo power, it's only rated safely up to 200 HP. I am pulling 190 HP out of mine right now with the Injen cold air intake, spacers, TB bypass, Custom Monza exhaust with Hi flo cat - My tranny is showing severe signs of slippage when getting up into higher rpms. I would only recommend this on the 5-speed 2.3 applications. |

Did you install a tranny cooler for your car? Also, check out CPE tranny kits which will help the tranny out as well. |
