Unhappy Security Light, Passkey, and Transmission

We have a 2000 Impala with the 3.8L engine. (It's an SS model without the emblem) From about 50k to 89k the security light kept popping on. At 89k we needed a new transmission. After replacing the transmission we never had another security issue until this week. Now the security liight activates after every shutting down of the engine. I have also noted that the trans has started to slip again.

My questions:

Is there anyway to override the passkey system permanently?

Has there been any linkage between the passkey security system and the trans?

Thanks!

Frank

I don't know anything about the passkey system, But it should have nothing to do with the transmission. If you already have slippage, i'd take it back to where you had it fixed ASAP, depending on what you did to it. Rebuilds are generally crap and prone to failure again.

The Trans is still under warranty so I will be taking in for replacement.

Thanks for your thoughts.
