1993 lumina no spark on #4 cly
This car is driving me crazy. The # 4 cly has no spark. I changed the coil pack and still no spark. I am now thinking it is the control module. Could someone please tell me, if the control module is bad could it just affect one cly. Please help. If it is not the control module what else could it be.

Re: 1993 lumina no spark on #4 cly
Its very possible that it is the ICM, they're horrible to go out on these older 3.1s. Check your wires and plug, too. Before you buy a new coil, you should move the suspect coil around with another, see if the no-spark moves with the coil.

all all all Happy camper: I have the lumina running like a new one. It took a lot of thinking, but I came to the conclusion that it was the ICM. I went to the salvage yard and picked up a new one. All I have to say don't have any kids, women, or preachers around when you are working on the ICM. The engineers sure weren't thinking about the machanic when they designed this little gem. Thanks tomthose who gave me some of their brain power. |

It was new to me, and cost a lot less than a new one at the parts store.
This old beater would stop running if I put any new parts in her. Just my hobby, and run around car. Thanks |
