99 trans

Wife was driving our 99 ford windstar and heard a "dull clunk" and then the OD light started to flash. She pulled over and put the van in park and shut if off, light shut off. Long story short now the trany fluid leaks like a hose out from the bottom of van. Anyone know if it is a seal or the whole tran. Your help would be most great

One would have to poke their head under there to try to see where the fluid was coming from....broken hose.....cracked case....etc
