Please help. Gauges Stuck.

Hello All. Please help.

My wife's 1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE Twin Cam

Temp Gauge, RPM, Speedometer and Fuel Gauges are all stuck. Odometer, lights etc.. continue to work.

I was told at another board it was my Instrument Cluster.

I purchased a used one from an Ebay seller and it was delivered today.

Can anyone advise procedure for removing and replacing.

Mileage. The miles on this one is much less than my original?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am not mechanically inclined.

Thanks

Joe

Scroll around this, Joe, it'll at least give you some idea. Welcome to forum.

Re the mileage difference, you reallt should notate the mileage off the old cluster, the date you pulled to old, and the mileage on the new [used, really] cluster when replaced with. I not sure about the legalities, but most states state you have to state actual miles or note that a new [sort of] speedo was installed.

Re: Please help. Gauges Stuck.

when you sell the car your going to have to put "Not actual mileage" on the title, there is usually a spot for it like a checkbox. You should also note the difference so you can keep up with the actual miles.
