low oil pressure. help please

when i start my car and drive it for like 10 min my cars oil pressure is fine. then when i stop at stoplights i notice my oil light starts to flicker faintly. After i drive it more, it becomes more noticable. I have a 93 vr4. Im running synthetic 5w-50. would this be the cause of it? its been around 70-95degrees in last couple weeks. should i change my oil?

Re: low oil pressure. help please

sounds like your oil may be low, have you checked that?

Re: low oil pressure. help please

when you stop and get the load off the car like at a stop light it will be lower, liek in the first 3-4 notches... thats normal but when driveing it should be little over the middle of the guage...

Re: low oil pressure. help please

if its in between the two notches on the dipstick after it has had time to cool, then that means your low on oil. put some oil in it, start it up, then check your oil level again. you want your oil level to be even with the top notch on the dipstick DURING IDLE.
