Sorry to hijack your thread but I have a question. I'm trying to locate my VSS wire. Can you help and tell me where is it located at? Thanks!

do you have a 95 k1500? if so look for two wires going into your transfer case. they should be green and purple. both have a stripe on them but i can't remember the color of the stripes.

ok i have learned something about testing the speed sensor. follow the instructions... when testing the voltage, make sure the key isd in the off position. it makes a big difference. when testing for resistance, make sure your ohm meter goes that high..

Sorry to mention that I have a 2005 GMC Sierra V6. I should of mentioned that earlier. Right now I need to find one VSS wire so I can tap in for my GPS System in there. Thanks again!
