Howl when turning left

I have a 2001 aztek. Good truck with unique looks. I had a problem suddenly start today. A noise comes from the front when I turn left. This only happens turning left and only when moving above 5mph. Small increments do not make much noise but it howls like nuts when turning a corner. No weird feeling the brakes and braking does not affect noise.
Does not appear to be brake related.
Since it only happens when turning left, I am leaning for a belt issue or a steering pump issue.
Has anyone else had this problem happen? The truck has 71000 miles and is all wheel drive.

We just had the same problem, the inner left brake pad was worn down to metal and it was metal on metal. Have the brakes checked.
