gt35r upgrading to a 42r
I was wondering if there is any way I could upgrade my current .83 ar gt35r to a gt42r compressor housing/backing plate/wheel. Is it even possible to take off the wheel on a ballbearing turbo(since they arnt rebuildable) if so, do I need a compressor from a 42r or would one from a nonballbearing work?
Thanks Tom |

Re: gt35r upgrading to a 42r
Just send it to a shop. Upgrading turbo internals, wheels, ect requires special tools. The wheels must be balanced within very strict tolerances. I don't doubt that it could be done tho. Prolly the best place to see would be Phoenix turbo.com.
