chev s10 horn & elec prob

Help - Chevy S10 1996 2.2
my first indication I had a problem was when my inside light(s) would not turn off after I turned off engine. I ended up pulling that fuse (2 or 3) to turn them off. Then I noticed by horn was not working and its fuse was blown. When I tried to replace the horn fuse it blew immediately. Whats up? I tried to check my horn relay and can not find it. Please help. So dangerous not to have a horn - what am I to do with all that pent up road rage?

Re: chev s10 horn & elec prob

Simple! Get a bicycle horn and screw it beside the mirror

I would try disconecting the horn first. They often rust out causing problems. Then plug in a new fuse.

If it burns out again you'll have to look into the steering columb next. Not a fun job!

The problem isn't usually anywhere else, although there is a small chance that you'll have to look at all the horns wire.

For the mean time the bicycle horn or an air horn wired in is seriously legal in most places

Re: chev s10 horn & elec prob

Check this out! I have a 94 GMC Sonoma when I press the horn I hear a relay buzzing under the dash at the same time my interior lights come on! Whats up with the wireing in this truck? Any suggestions?
P.S.
(Buzzing) relay was swapped and still does the same thing but no horn. Fuse is also good.
