Just bought 2003 Malibu

Hi all
I just bought today a 2003 Malibu, I was wondering where the temp gauge should read for these cars. it seems to be running hot but am not sure.
Driving it home the temp gauge shows just above the middle mark, is this common? I have a lumina and the temp gauge is just below the middel mark when driving.
The outside temp or how hot it is outside is 95 deg. today, should the car temp gauge be below the middel mark or do you think this engine is running to hot.

the gauge is normal atthe position. the operating temp for most new gm vehicles is like 205-210

yes i belive its normal my malibu also did this and we took it to service for a check and they said everything was fine. But if i were you i would still get it checked just to be safe.
