Angry Front end Noise, Brakes

I need some help. Have a 98 Z71. There is a loud popping noise that comes from the front end. Doesnt always do it, just sometimes when i'm turning or brake really hard. Does it the most when turning in and out of my driveway. So far I have changed all four balljoints and all inner and outer tie rod ends. Idler arm and pitman arm are next, but they dont seem that bad and were just changed (supposedly by the dealership I bought it from) about 20,000 miles ago. This has been going on for quite a while and it is really aggrivating me.

Also the brakes have started to pull to the left under pressure now, the harder you push the harder it pulls. I need some advise please.

Maybe take it to a mechanic before you go blowing money on things that wont help solve the problem. At least have a professonial check it out to see whats wrong and then you can chose to do it yourself or let them fix it if the price is reasonable.

Re: Front end Noise, Brakes

Just a guess but it sounds like the front drive shafts could be worn out. Same sound as CV joints when they are bad. my .02c

Re: Front end Noise, Brakes

I had the same popping noise and it turned out to be my left front drive axle, not to bad to change took about 30 mins...
