Champ car racing is still putting on a good show, and CBS has/will cary some of the races. I hope the future is good for CART, but two openwheel series may streach out the crowd.
IRL is starting to do street (road) racing, but oval track is still their mainstay. CART drivers racing at Indy may bring the two series togather, but I want a good road racing series to be part of a murger. turn7marshall

Re: CART in 05
well i think its bound to happen that IRL will buy out CART, and tho i like both series, i think it would be better for the series and i want it to happen. afterwards hopefully the series would be a pretty even split of ovals and road racing, which could suit people that prefer either, i know for me that would be an ideal series.

Re: Re: CART in 05
There is no such thing as CART any more, it is now CCWS(Champ Car World Series). That's like calling NASCAR Nextel Cup, Winston Cup.
What a joke the San Jose race was, 8 cars finish. MotoX jump over railroad tracks & NO passing. If there is one thing I don't like in racing is temp. street courses. |
