Has anyone ever done this changing your oil??
I changed my oil today, I always use the recommended 5W30 (5.5 quarts and filter change). I had also bought 30w for the lawn mower, anyway to make a long story short. After putting the new oil in I relized I had used one quart of the 30W instead of the 5w30. Should this be ok just using one quart of the 30W or do you think I should drain the oil out and start over. Thanks for any help or opinons. Matt

Re: Has anyone ever done this changing your oil??
It's summer time, I wouldn't worry about it. I would worry because I think the car only holds 4.5 quarts with filter. Maybe I'm wrong if its the Duratech. As long as you change your oil before winter don't go through the trouble.

Ever since the adoption of SAE guidelines motor oils don't conflict with one another. You won't harm a thing with what you've done.
