I just bought a 2001 Ford Taurus Ses. I want to have some type of CD player in the car. Anybody know where I can find the Ford Stock Cd Changers, and around how much they cost???

Re: 2001 Ses CD Changer
You can get a factory single cd on ebay for cheap. It's very easy (5 mins) to change them out. I got one for less then a hundred there and installed in myself in my husbands 02 Taurus. I also installed a 6 disc indash in my 03 Windstar, also thanks to ebay at $150. You just need the tools which you can make or get at local auto parts for less then 5 bucks. Just remember to unhook battery BEFORE you pull out radio (could cause airbags to deploy)
You can also get the in trunk cd changer but I do not know how to install that. I have read on here that it's not 'plug and play' if you will. If you don't want to use ebay I am sure you can go online and find them. Or call your Ford dealer. Our dealer doesn't install stereos or even order them and there is only one authorized dealer in our area. They wanted 350 plus install for the single, 500 plus install for the 6 disc changer and 750 plus install for the 6 disc indash!!! That was for my windstar. I never checked for the Taurus after I did it myself so easy and cheap. Good Luck! Quote:
