wheres the pcv valve?

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer 4.0l V6 i cant seem to find the pcv valve i no its cloged becuause it makes a loud humming noise if anyone knows the location it would be a great help if not im sure il find it... most likely its hindin in a difficult place..

it could be your idel air control valve.i have a 97 sohc 4.0 and it made a loud horn like sound.i replaced the valve and it fixed the problem.

Yes i think that may be it that was my Second guess at it i still want to replace the PCV valve becuz I bought the Explorer used and dont no if the person who owned it ever changed the oil often...My Father had mentioned something about the idle air control valve. I believe thats on the air cleaner.

The PCV is located behind the intake on the passenger side.
