2000 Grand Caravan Battery?
I'm having a problem keeping the battery charged. If it sets over 24 hours it won't crank. Is something staying on and draining my battery or do I have an alternator problem?

I had the same problem with my 2000 GC.
The OEM battery is a five year battery and guess what? The five year self destruct has been activated. Get a new battery. |

I've tried that and it didn't work. Something else is causing it and I don't know where to start. |

You should purchase a battery and alternator test tool, most store carry inexpensive and easy to use ones for $15 or $20. They come in handy.
If the battery goes dead in 24 hours it has to be a big drain or it's not getting a full charge. You can start by pulling different fuses to isolate the drain. Also check the tension on the alt belt P S The OEM battery on my 98 van lasted 9 months |
