96 2.2L timing question

I recently bought a 96 cavalier with a bad timing chain. I was told that i would have to pull the motor to replace the chain but that seems a bit over kill. I have read a few posts here about garages quoting 5 hours on the job and they cant pull a motor in 5 hours much less put it back in. Does anyone have a write on how to replace a timing chain or a link to where i can get a write up. Thanks.

Re: 96 2.2L timing question

Remove the passenger front side wheel, then remove the black inner fender well guards. That will put you right into front of the Crankshaft pully... The rest is all you! This is also a good time to replace the tensioner.

ok i replaced the timing chain, gears, and damper but the car wont start. Its getting compression and theres spark but i think the spark is off. At first i thought the timing was off 180 so i changed it and still nothing. There are no engine codes. Any ideas? Thanks.
