Today was going to be another lazy day around the house, but I looked outside and it was absolutely gorgeous out, for the first time in quite a while. So, I decided to go for a drive, and whilst driving, decided to stop in at a few parks.
Everything is great. I was merrily walking through a beautiful park on a beautiful day, and a good looking girl with a big, playful dog just gave me a smile. Even better, I'd just come across the toilets - I'd been needing to go quite badly. I walk in, and there's this middle-aged guy in there, who looked over at me as I was walking in. So, as standard protocol, I give him half of a "hey, sorry, I'll just be going down to the other end of the bathroom right now" nod, then proceed to go down to the other end of the bathroom. I get to the sink just as he's finishing washing his hands, and then I wash my hands - still nothing unusual. However, he strangely waited for me to leave the bathroom first - a little odd, but I thought little of it. I continued on up the walkway, and he was behind me. Still nothing unusual, he's just out for a walk around the park as well, I presumed. I got to a lookout point and stopped to take in the wonderful view - that's when I noticed he stopped a few metres back and was staring at me... I continued along the walkway, with him resuming the following. Got to an old lighthouse-keeper's cottage, and I noticed there was a little storyboard about it. So, I figured, I'll stop here and read this (even though I didn't care about it) and hopefully he'll just pass on by. Pass on by he did, but then I saw out of the corner of my eye that he'd just walked down to a sort of vista point and stopped there - regular behaviour for someone who wants to take in the view. I stand around, slowly reading the storyboard, hoping he'll be on his way soon, but when I finished reading, I swung around and noticed he wasn't taking in the view of the harbour, he was still staring straight at me. NOW I'm freaked out. I start back the way I came, around the cottage, and I noticed from the corner of my eye, he took up following me again. I quickly stepped out of his line of sight and dashed around the back of the building, and up a secondary path - lost him. Phew. Not risking stopping again, I continued on up this path (which turned out to be a shortcut to a further point along the walkway), then swung back down the walkway back towards the cottage. I slowly peeked around the bushes to make sure he wasn't still there, and the coast was clear. By now I'd given up enjoying the park, I just wanted to beeline back to the car and leave. So, I start heading back the walkway - only the one way back - and after a couple hundred metres, he's standing at some lookout point, once again staring at me. I purposefully walk on past without giving him a glance, but I can hear he's started to follow me again. I continue on backtracking on the walkway, past the bathrooms, until I get back to sort of a main courtyard area, and thank heavens, the chick with the dog is still there. I strolled up and muttered "pretend you know me", then sat down beside her and started to pet the dog while we had a bit of small talk. Unbelievably, it worked! The guy stopped looking at me and started walking back towards the bathrooms. When he was gone I thanked the girl and told her why I'd just done that - she seemed a bit surprised about my predicament, but was very understanding and said she was glad she could help. ![]() Made it back to my car, and from there, to home, just fine. I just laugh about it now but man I was freaked out! I'm never going back to that park again!

I'm ashamed to say, no, and that I wish I had, but I couldn't think about anything but getting out of that park as fast as possible! Another missed opportunity...

![]() This story is so wrong is so many ways. ![]() You set yourself up Heep. Park bathrooms are the number one place gay guys cruise (I wouldn't know, I heard it from ______) You fill in the blank. ![]() First, you nod at him in the bathroom, never, I repeat never do eye contact with another guy in a bathroom. If you do its likesaying, come on big guy follow me for fun times. ![]() As for the "pretend you know me" comment to the girl, I guess Australian girls are different, here in the states, a total stranger comes up and sits next to a girl on a bench in a park and tells her "pretend you know me" is signs of a pervert or a killer, and the girl would sic their dog on you like flies on crap. ![]() Oh btw Heep, look out your window, your friend the stalker, hes back. TS out (sending Heep some mace)
