When i lowered my car the crankshaft pulley hits tie rod!!!????
Ok, i have a B18B 94 integra engine swap, in a 89 DX civic Hatch. I bought some adjustable coilovers for my car. But after i installed them and lowered it the crankshaft pully rubs on the tierod and sends sparks flying out! I cant even lower my car very much then the stock height. I am really pissed about this.
Is there a way i can remake the tie rod around the pulley? how come this hasnt happend to anyone else or has it? HELP!!!!!!!!!

Well i never did get to put the front motor mount in because when i bought the car with the stock eninge the metal part of the mount on the crossmember was broken. So i only have the 2 sides and the rear motor mount in right now. I need to go find me a new crossmember.

something is MESSED up in your car... there is NO WAY what you are describing should be happening.
either your motor mount is Messed up or you suspension is... get that stuff looked at.

Yeah, ck the tierod to see if it is bent. Then ck the motor mounts. That sucks when you have probs like this.

Can you take a picture of it for us - we might be able to tell you what's wrong - if it's the tie rod that's out of place, or the engine.

does the engine look tilted down in the front at all, cause it seems like it is sittin a little deep. What you may have to do , not sure if it will work in your case or not, but go ahead and put the front mount on the engine, and just have it sittin on top of the crossmember until you can get a new one to bolt it down to, that way you know it is sittin at the correct hight.

Thats not the tierod, what brand motor mounts are you using? I have a b series with no front mount, no problems.

Do you have the polyurathane bushing in the mounts? Maybe the rubber is too soft causing it to sit low.

i'm gonna say you have the wrong mounts in it. take a picture showing the whole motor, and one from one of the fenders doing a side view of the top.
