Did I do right ?

Today my ex gf mom call me and tell me come pick her up, her car car not stop in the middle of the street. I come over check out the car, she told me it was run fine then it just shut off. I open the hood , wait for 10 min , pull out the oil stick , the level is in add ( it really low level ). So I add some more oil up to full level. Start the car wait for min , then run the car , the car run really good now, did I do right , is there any other problem that make the car shut off like that ( I KNOW IT NOT ABOUT DSM STUFF , BUT THIS IS THE ONLY FORUM I GO TO ^_^ ) by the way she own the mini van ( playmouth )( spell wrong i guess ) later.

This is really hard to read, just to let you know. Work on making it less confusing when you post.

Having low oil would not make the car (or van) magically shut off. It might run shitty, but it would not shut off for no reason.

There is a plymouth forum on AF. Ask them.

I know my english suck , but let me break it down

1- my ex gf mom call me , because her car was shut off in the middle of the street.

2- I come over , pop the hood , check the oil , the level is in the add mark, then I add more oil until it hit the full mark.

3- the car run good now. But I need to know , what other thing that can make the car shut off while running.( exp - low oil level )

4 - thanks for answer me man , I just dont want to go another forum, this is the firs forum I been thru , people here seem really cool
.

Re: Did I do right ?

maybe on a plymouth there is a safety that turns the car off if the oil gets too low... nobody here would know. I'm guessing it was something else though.

You could try calling a plymouth dealership service center. They should be able to answer any questions you have. As for the low oil, yes you did right.
Good luck!
