Hi just wanted to say this is a great forum for beginers like me.
I have one question :- what is the best way to do windscreen surrounds on the body of your car? It seems impossible to get a perfect lined edge! However looking at the gallery its not impossible so how do you guys do it? Thanks for any help |

Tuscan,
Welcome to the forum. As for your question. Use the Tamiya brand masking tape. They work extremely well, just make sure you rub/ press down on the edges so that the paint will not bleed through. You can use a sharp hobby knife and trim off edges-just follow the panel lines molded in the windshield surround. Make sure you rub/ press the tape edge back into position to seal the paint. These directions are for airbrush and spray only. Use light mist coats at first to help form a seal at edge of tape to help prevent bleed through. When the effect is achieved, carefully peel off tape( make sure paint is dry or painted trim may peel off ). Hope this helps. Good luck. Walter |
