1998 Isuzu Trooper PROBLEM.

I have a problem. On my 98 3.5 with TOD. After driving for about 20-25 minutes (normal city driving) every time i come to the stop, or just when i'm about to stop my front end starts shaking-vibrating really noticablesame when im just about to move. If i shift trans to neutral i have no problem. I hope its not my TRANSMISSION going. Otherwise runs good, good brakes and rotors. What is a problem?

Re: 1998 Isuzu Trooper PROBLEM.

I would start by checking your tranny fluid level.

Re: 1998 Isuzu Trooper PROBLEM.

Check to see if your selector on the dash matches up with the one on the floor. Put it is D and then gently push forward to se if the dash one jumps in to N.

See the FAQ's on tranny selector.

Everything is fine. It only starts doing it after about 20-25 minutes driving.

My 99 3.5L Trooper did the same thing. I had the pan removed and it had pieces of metal from a retainer ring failure. I recommend you do not drive it as you have probably already ruined the torque converter and can ruin more internal gears increasing the cost when you get it rebuilt.
