mr2 non turbo

Hi i have a 92 mr2 non turbo and want to get about 300hp or so but i cant really find any websites with decent parts for the non turbo model. I dont want to put a turbo kit in or swap the engine. Thanks!

Re: mr2 non turbo

well there's always nitrous, and you can peice together a exhaust for cheap and probably an intake .... but for 300hp with out turbo or a motor swap all you can really do is nitrous and built the stock motor (i.e. High compression pistons, built head, things like that)

There's nearly no aftermarket for the NA (US 5sfe motor) because of two reasons:

A) HP is what the turbo model is for.

B) the 5sfe doesn't respond to mods well, it's an economy motor.

If you want straight line speed, DO NOT WASTE your time and money with the 5sfe.

Go to a local shop and ask. Prices are different everywhere.

mr2oc.com

With the NA, we recommend suspension modifications.

I run Tein S-tech springs with KYB AGX 4-way adjustable struts.

The result is a ~1.5" drop and unbelievable handling.

That's where the NA shines, in the twisties.
