Tamiya 1/24 New Beetle
This was originally just going to be a test bed for spraying tamiya acrylics and then acrylic clear (x22) over the top, but it turned out okay so I finished it off. Made the mistake of using poly cement on windows so they are a bit messy near window sills, and also completely wrecked the front fog lights with the same glue so they now have no lenses at all!! Still, all good practice and I now have Microscale's clear glue for future use.
I used tamiya acrylic metallic blue straight onto the yellow plastic so it has a slight green tint to it in some light. I also need to improve my photo environment and technique no end! But here's the result anyway. Cheers Oli. ![]() ![]()

Re: Tamiya 1/24 New Beetle
Looks cute, can't tell that the windows are messed up from the pictures. Next time try some clear clue, www.1999.co.jp and hlj.com should carry them or whatever you can get your hands on.
