It is a photoshop job - come on guys...
That gas tank wouldn't get those turbines up to speed. And self-starting? with what? an aux power unit? where is that in the deal? Also - where are the intakes? Better not be next to the driver and behind the driver. Suck his eyes out.

well it would have to be an crazy photo shop job, however i work with jet engines and it does look kinda iffy, however
1 i can see why he can only get to sub 200 speeds probley cause the limited air intake but from what i have read him saying, it is probley enugh, if you have seen small jets the air intakes on thoes are tiny 2 jet engines run amazingly cool my mr2 engine oil is hotter then jet engine oil after they bolth shut down (I have changed bolth and i have burned the hell out of my self with engine oil from an mr2, engine oil from a jet just kinda stings dosnt burn ) another example of this is that the sides of an engine are keep really cool thru air that is run down the inside sides of the turbine keeping the hot and combusting air to the center of the turbine, if a jet is idling i can even run my arm on the side of the exaust nozzle and it is not even all that warm, the only place that gets really hot is the exaust streem it self ( and the combustion chamber ) or when it hit after burner, in afterburner it gets reallllllly hot like the tail ( turky feathers ) starts glowing red so belive it or not on thoes small engines you dont have to worry about heat, and also they probley wil run long enugh to do 1 or 2 slat flat runs with thoes gas tanks, the time a jet gets reallly fuel hungry is in afterburner, which thoes engines arnt going to do cause they dont have an augmenter section 3 auto starters can use many things from electrical power to compressed air here is one thing he could be useing http://www.mirage-jet.com/Propulsion...el_starter.htm and 4 a jet engine is simpler in operaation to a normal car engine so it wouldnt be that hard to do

Re: Think your Mr2 is fast?
When I was in the Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic (years ago in the F-4 days), there was a guy who stole a sidewinder missile and bolted it to the top of his Chevy. Once he ignited it, he couldn't turn it off and they found what was left of him on the side of a mountain.
