Battery Volts?

Guys,

have a 2000 3.2L V6 4WD "Rodeo". I have a new battery. When engine off the battery reads 13.4 volts. With engine on it reads 13.7 volts. Is this normal or too low? With engine on, lights and 2 spots on it sits at 13.1 Volts.

I had read on another thread that the GenI had a feature that reduced volts to near battery level during idle as an economy feature. But with revs or turning lights on, the alternator would up the voltage some how. Doesn't seem to be happening here on a GenII. Should it?

Thanks

13 volts isnt too bad not unless you are having problems. if you do have issues with varying voltage you may need to check ur voltage regulator
