Re: what to do about the bragger

to run him into the ground:

H22a w/ lsd
75 shot n2o

that's all u need...but all depends on how much boost he's running...just b/c u have a turbo on ur car doesn't necessarily mean it is fast

Re: what to do about the bragger

H22 is a bad idea.

On your budget a junkyard LS with some new rings and honeing, and a turbo would probably do the job.

ive thought bout beatin his ass,but then i still wouldnt beat his car n as far as the h22 ? prelude engines i think they are?? i only have $2,300 to spend..i dont think i could afford the swap and i have no idea what kind of boost he is using i kind of was hoping to get something that i could beat him with that was all motor like with out a turbo or nitrous, even on a d series engine(so i dont need 2 buy engine mounts) but i dont kno much about port and polishing and boring ya engine so i dont even kno were to start..

i think the cheapest and easiest would be b18 with nos. then there is always the labour that adds up.

well dude theres the infamous ebay, autotrader.com ur local newspaper. but seriously the best way to pick up on a good deal is word of mouth and knowing the right ppl. if any of u guys got any good sites for solid ac's and honduds help the guy out but yeah i know what u mean man.. shit gets hella stripped quick where im at and im in PA. its like a frenzy of ppl when suttin rolls into the yard. and most of the time the ppl employed by the yards call there friends and recieve cash for the tips when shit arrives. and honestly DOHC is the way to go if u got the cash for the swap. fuck labor cost!! do it urself man. i got a half complete DOHC swap but im trying to build/blow up a SOHC that runs easy 12's b4 i switch over DOHC "SOHC is half the motor" haha by the way ur getting rapid responses on this post damn

Re: what to do about the bragger

lighten the hell out of your car and add a LS, 55-shot of nitrous(try to borrow someone's kit to save a little $$$), some drag radials, and if possible a B16 transmission. its possible that he might still be making more power than you but the light weight of the crx should make up.

yes ls/vtec can be technically b16/b17/b18c1 head. instant 190-200 hp combo if done right. i picked up ls block and GSR head real cheap. just gotta ask around.
