Neons or LEDs for interior

Im lookin at gettin some lighting for the inside of my car. I wanna give it a soft red glow when you're lookin into the car. Any ideas on whether to get LEDs or Neons, and where to put them to get the look right?

Thanks

Re: Neons or LEDs for interior

I had some neons for a awhile but I didn't like the light output, so I bought some nice LED sticks off ebay (variety of colors and length to choose) mine are red ones with 15 LEDs in each stick. They were like $15 a piece. I have them mounted in front of the rails that the seats slide back and forth on, so looking in from outside they are visible unless the seat is moved up far. This was the best spot I found for me, and since the LED light is more directional than a neon tube I had to angle them slighty upward so the light wouldn't be hitting the carpet right in front of it. I like the nice red glow I have now lighting up the front floor boards and pedals. I haven't gone crazy with interior lights yet, I've seen some nice color schemes people have done, putting lights in the vents, and under the seats for rear seat lighting, etc..
