Another tranny issue. I have done a search already but have been unable to find my problem.
When first starting up my Jimmy, it seems to have a lot of engine noise, almost like revving fast. Once you are going and shifts it seems to go away. Also when you are on the e-way if you are going 70 mph (it also does it at other speeds) you may be at 1800 rpms and then it goes up about 200-300 rpms. Then it will go back down if you shift down or hit the brakes. Was told this was the kick out in the torque converter. Has anyone had this problem? And has anyone had to change the torque converter? 98 Jimmy 4dr 4x4 4.3L K&N filter (air and oil) Bosch split 4+ plugs |
