noisy ac copressor

my ac compressor dosnt seem to fully disengage when i turn it off and it is extemly annoying. it sounds like im draging chain. if i play around enough i can get it to be quiet when the ac is off. has this happened to any one else? how much for new compresser? my still works but cant stand driving rickity soundin car

ur blower motor is blown...the same thing happened to me....$30 part, plus labor. as for why it won't disengage, it should be fixed w/ the new motor...when it blows, it seems to screw up the power controls 1st....so that's what i'd tell the mechanic.

yeah, im getting that blower fixed, the a c coprerrsor seems to be fine and quiet again so thats a bonus
