In-Progress: Evo 8

Quick build since i'm bored at home durring Hurricane Dennis and I'm probally not going to work tomorrow.

Paint is a custom mixture of Cobra Colors paints, 2 Nissan colors (can't remember what their names are).
Wheels are just on there for mock-up. Once I decide on the rims I'll have to modify the rear axle and front setup because all of the aftermarket rims I've put on have stuck out noticably.
Interior is being painted right now. I had a hard time deciding what colors to use, but i decided on a light grey/dark grey/black combinaton.
. Still has a few coats of clear left, then polish, then windows, etc.

Pics....

Comment's very welcome, but be gentle....this it the most modeling I think I've done all year.

That paintjob is cool, and with dark rims.

Re: In-Progress: Evo 8

Hey,

I love that color! Is that suposed to be the "Blue By You" color? I like it alot, but doesn't the bby have a little purple or red in it? Or not..I don't know..Don't mind me for thinking outloud. lol...Love the color and rim color, I don't like the rims that much..All looks good tho. Keep up the awsome work!

Re: In-Progress: Evo 8

Thanks for the nice words fellas. Yes this is a fujimi box.. I think.
I also don't like these particular rims, I did like the color when I held them up to the car after paint. I have several others so i'll decide what i'm using today.

Well, it sucks because I actually had to go into work today. But I did decide on what wheels I'm going to use, I decidec on this set of Versus v-152 (or whatever the hell their called).
I've had these for ever but have not been able to find a car I liked them on.

Re: Re: In-Progress: Evo 8

Thanks for the kind words guys. This is the first body I've painted with my airbrush, I usually just use my Iwata for everything else. I've tried and failed several times and always gone back to the spray bombs for the body, I'm glad I decided to have a go at it with the Cobra Colors. I can't say enough good things about Leon's paint, lays down perfect and effortlessly.

Re: In-Progress: Evo 8

Lookin good so far. I like the 2nd wheels better, but I think I would like the first ones more if the tires were so fat.

It's a shame Fujimi didn't get the back bumper right on that kit..
