Thumbs up From Z to Z

2001 Camaro Z28 LS1 6 speed... yada yada... you know the rest...

A quick clip...
Right Click, Save as... Please

Options:
Cloth seats - I find these to more comfortable than leather.
Monsoon Stereo w/ 12 disc changer - isn't bad for a stock stereo system
Hurst factory shifter - It's a very possitive feel to the shifter, it'll take me a while to get a hang of it.
T-Tops: Pretty cool, all the fun of a convertible just doesn't ruin the look of the car.

Current Mods:
K&N Filter - Dirty needs replacing... It's beyond cleaning
Magnaflow muffler - I think it's just the muffler, as far as I can tell from looking underneath.

Future mods:
??? If any.

Re: From Z to Z

Yeah.. another white car... I wanted a red one.

But this one was a good price, and it's an 01... which means it's got the LS6 intake stock. That's about $600 I don't have to spend.

Plus, it's got cloth interior. After test driving it I loved it cause it's a bit softer than the Leather. And I won't burn my ass on it if I leave the T-tops off and get in after it sitting in the sun.

It's by no means a super fast car, but it scoots good enough for what I want.

Re: From Z to Z

id say justto basic I/E/H and a programer and call it a day. much past that takes a LOT of work...

maybe cam it up.

nice car though... you already have intake (sorta i geuss) so real exaust, headers, performance programer and cam it up and id bet it would be nearing (if not passing) your old 2100lb 260hp fun mobile.

thoes are what? 3100lb and around 300bhp stock?

Well, it's about 3500lbs or so... and has roughly 310hp stock. Rated by GM, but they tend to dyno at about that stock, so it's pushing roughly 345-350hp stock.

The Z was about 2200lbs and had 300hp crank, the best it dyno'd out was 252whp. It was quick that's for sure.

The Z28 is just comfy, in comparison to the 240z. I've riden in other cars that blow the Z28 away in comfort and quality. But that's not why I bought it. It's more of a grown up version of my 240z.

One of these days I'll have the ability to mod it... gotta pay off some of this debt first!
