Question A/c Filters??????

A friend of mine has a 2000 silverado with a/c that didn't blow as hard as when it was new, thought he was low on refridgerant. He found out that he had "in cabin air filters" that looked kinda like a small stock engine air filter, but were mounted under the dash and filtered the cabin air before it went out the ducts into the cabin. He switched 'em out w/new ones for a whopping $15. His a/c blows like new again.

Does my 99 3.2L passport have any filters like this? We live in the nasty heat of the Arizona desert and a/c performance this time of year is critical.
