I don't have the numbers memorized, but basically it's the size of the turbo. Modified 13T turbos actually are bigger than the 15g turbos, and can create more power than a 15g turbo. I would recommend going to www.3si.org and you are sure to find the numbers on the specs of each one.

actually, a 15G will produce slightly more power than the 13T. The exducer of the compressor wheel is bigger on the 13T but the inducer is bigger on the 15G. Basically the number is the size of the compressor wheel from the series and the letter is the type of compressor wheel it is. The T-series wheel tends to be a lot lighter creating faster spool up. Basically, out of the three, the 13G is the weakest of the 3, but is for someone who just wants a slight upgrade. The 13T is next flowing almost the numbers that a 15G does but not quite, but the spool up on 13T's is extremely quick, almost as quick as the stock turbos. The 15G's produce just slightly more power but has more lag. So far though, if you have time to have someone make 13T's to bolt to the car, then its the best bang for the buck.

reading through 3si about the 13T post seems as though the hp/torque numbers are greater with 13t's. Carnac or something like that had like 511 torque or something from the 13T's. Not sure the 15g's got that high.

Yeah, Hotshot nailed it, but if you want to read up more on them, there are billions of threads on 3si about turbo upgrade comparisons.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
