Air filter replacement

I was looking to replace the air fitler in my 95 2.5L. Some of the clamps seem to need to have the oxygen sensor removed. Do I need to do that? Also do I need to remove any screws? Thanks.

theres 4 clamps on the intake housing. Unclamp those and the top comes off. Just pull the old filter out and replace with a new one. O2 sensors are always located on the exhaust. Maybe your thinking of the IAT sensor.

There are 3 on mine, and one of them was already popped off. One of the remaing two clamps I can get off easily, but the last one is blocked by wires...err I did manage to pop that one off once, but the box still wouldnt budge. Any ideas?

are you trying to remove the top of the box or the box all together?

hmmm...you must be missing something. I always thought it was pretty straight forward. Its been about 7 years since ive had the stock air box on the car, so my memory isnt too great as to how it worked.

Re: Air filter replacement

I know this post was in 2005 but........ just in case, I am suppose to have a IAT on the air box housing and it is not there. IF its not there do you have any clue where it might be?? Cant find anywhere. had a code of P0113 but cant find it.

Re: Air filter replacement

Is that your intake temp sensor? if so then try the intake manifold it should tell you!! If that does not work get you a haynes manual and it will tell you where it is!!!
