Traction lock and anti skid problems

I have a 95 Aurora. The anti-skid pump, motor, thingy comes on pulsing the brakes even when the car is setting still. After a few moments, it quits and the ABS and No Traction lights come on.

I suspect it to be a wheel bearing sensor but I can't visually find the bad one. Is there another way to find the culprit?

you will need to have it on the scope. it will tell you which one to replace. however, it may be a harness as well. my 97 had a open speed sensor on the left rear hub. i replaced hub, thinking that the lights would go off and i would have abs and traction again, but i did not. i then found out that the harness is bad, and probably did not need to replace the sensor. good luck.

Re: Traction lock and anti skid problems

Thanks,

Will the OBD I system on the 95 tell which wheel (or harness) is bad?

it should tell you what sensor is bad, but not the harness, i believe. i will replace the harness that goes to the bad sensor though, if you replace the sensor, and still have the problem.

Re: Traction lock and anti skid problems

It most likely is the harness in the rear end of the car this was highly problematic in that year
