the quality of the vid is bad, but i think the S15 was Andy Yen in the JIC formula D car. Im gonna hate F&F3 if they are going to promote drifting to the public, its only going to cause problems for drivers IMO...

wtf are you talking about promote drifting to the public?? IT ALREADY IS!!!!!!!!! duh. That was just illogical. Drifting wont be killed either. Sure the movie will be stupid, gay, horrible, dumb, a waste and ricey but o well. THeres nothing more this one can do that the last 2 havent. Drifting is already massly known about, why do you think they wanted to involve drifting in this one.....because surprise its the up and coming thing.

It hasnt caused problems yet.....so how could a movie that probably wont come out for another year affect anything. Its already massly known about. NOTHING will change. Every magazine known has already covered drifting, so..........a movie thats 2 years behind the scene wont change a thing.

i think what he means about it being promoted to the public

is it being promoted to the ricer population, and getting us in trouble

the ricer people will come off from the movie being like OOO i can do it too look as i wrap my civic with body parts worth more than the car and engine combined around that pole

when the first F&F came out the number of people out there looking to "hook-up" ther cars with bodykits and wings like tripled, it was one of the first big things to promote tuner cars and street racing

while it shouldn't hurt people that go to tracks and drifting events, it will hurt people such as myself that due to the lack of tracks and events in close range, practice drifting in empty lots at night

granted it is a hollywood moive looking to make money, it would be alot better if the people knew at least some things about cars and tuning, like in the first one i believe that i read an article that the yellow skyline was a converted accord, and they were talking about dropping SR20DETs into civic's [if you don't believe me then rent the movei download or buy, go the part where the asain guy S2000 is in the garage about to pour oil into some fat white dudes mouth]

Drifting is not as popular here as it is in Japan, but after every teen and ricer see's the movie they will think drifting is the coolest thing in the world and then they are going to start doing ebrake drifts in there FWD civics and think they are doing hardcore drifts...thats not what drifting is or what it is about, but i fear it will soon come to this. Most of the guys in my class didnt even know what drifting was when they saw a Nob poster i had on the front of my binder. Id be willing to be after this movie comes out, almost every single one of those guys/girls will know what drifting is...drifting is better without everyone knowing about it and doing stupid things to make real drivers/drifters look bad to the world and have people think they are just reckless drivers.

i still talk to a lot of people that have no idea what drifting is. like completely no idea. granted they are not car enthusiasts, but still. and the movie will give it more buzz, more people will learn what it is, as well as cops looking out for it more probably. and it will be a dumbass movie. but ill still rent it.

well i had a cop come up to me... while i was literally SITTING in an empty parking lot at night... asking me whether or not i was 'drifting'. i seriously had to ask him twice what he just said.. lolz..

ok drifting is massly known for people into cars. So that means the ricers know about it......if there remotely into cars. THat is if they ever read any import magazine.
