Question Looking for information

I've got a 98 Jeep Cherokee Classic. 4.0 automatic, 4x4. For some reason when i start it up my airbag light indicator will stay on. My spedomoter, rpm's, oil, and temp gauges will not work. I've gotten lucky a few times and its kicked on. I don't think its a fuse cuz it wouldn't kick back on like that. Any ideas of whats happening and how i can fix it would be greatly appreaciated.

Check with a dealer, I've got a '99 Sport had the same problem with the airbag module, turns out there was a recall due some faulty wiring. Brought it in they fixed it, no charge.

As far as your gauges cutting out, have you submerged the electronics at all? Could be some dampness in the system (it was for me after a mud bath up to the top of the seat pan) once it dried out all was right with the world.

(and sorry but no pics of the mud bath - unfortunately)
