91 wrangler clutch leak

hello all. i have a 91 wrangler manual, and one day i went to start it up, and the clutch was completely gone. all the fluid leaked out, and now it is to the point where i have to put fluid in it before i go anywhere. i can see the fluid is hitting the ground right below the bell housing. i am not very experienced with cars, but i know this is not a normal occurence. if anybody has any idea what this could be or what its from, or any help on this at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

Does it appear to be coming out of the bell housing?
If so, you have a busted seal at the plunger. There aren't many places a clutch line can leak. If it drips from the lowest point of the line, then the leak is probably at the top seal. It is a pretty short line, and not to expensive to replace the whole thing.

Re: 91 wrangler clutch leak

It's The Slave Cylinder Which Is Unfortunetly Inside The Bellhousing. I have A 92 Wrangler And I converted Mine to The Newer Style External Slave Setup.
I have all the part numbers if you want to do this too.
It will save lot's of headaches down the road.
A little tip, if you have a 4 cyl pulling the engine is the easiests way to get to the clutch, pulling the trans and transfer case on your back ain't much fun and you can yank the motor in about 1/2 hour.
