550hp Iroc?

I have been looking at getting another 3rd gen Camaro. I check out Ebay and find this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...560225290&rd=1

Now make sure you watch the full video.

Now the car has a 350 with a Paxton SC but is that able to push out that much horsepower? I would think maybe 400hp with that set up. Am I wrong here?

Re: 550hp Iroc?

I dont know the exact numbers on the troque, but I wouldn't think a 3rd gen could handle much more than 400 ft/lbs of torque.

Please, if you have experience, correct me if im wrong, cuz I need to know

Re: 550hp Iroc?

HEYYYYY ITS CRAAAAAAZY PEDRO!!!!! lmao, dude we had a thread making fun of that guy a while back. personally, i wouldnt buy shit from that guy on principle but.... to answer the question.

yes it will make 550hp. i dont know that the transmission is stock or modified, the first thing i would do is pull it and have it beefed up by a performance shop with heavy duty internal parts. and also weld in some subframe connectors. just to be safe. but as far as the engine i say the 550hp is true, and you could always take it to a dyno and then sue the guy for false advertizing if its not

but again, the guy seems shady to me, i wouldnt buy a car from him. but thats just me.

Re: 550hp Iroc?

Yeah I have been doing some research. He already sold the car one time for $6100. The buy left him feedback and he left the buyer feedback. Plus his feedback is only 75%. I was considering it because he is just in Atlanta (not too far from me) but the more I watch the video and the more I think about it, the more nervous I get thinking about spending money with this guy.

Re: 550hp Iroc?

Hah, I emailed the guy asking what other mods have been done or if the Paxton SC was the only thing done to give it 550hp and his response was

"Please don't take this statement as true. Car has not been on dyno since I
bought it. I do not stand by the claim of 500 HP."

What a jackass. You think he would put this in his item description when selling the car. Morons!

If anything it's a nice looking Camaro even if the owner is a jackass.

Re: 550hp Iroc?

Well oddly enough I emailed him back to tell him he should not advertise a HP rating if he can not back it up so he took the video off of the auction and told me "Thanks for bringing it to his attention."

He said he thinks it will rate about 500hp but until he dynos it, he will not back the claim of 550hp.

Re: 550hp Iroc?

Well now the video is back but there is a highlighted warning where he says that he will not "back Pedro's claim of 550hp since he does not have dyno records"

A very odd way to try and sell a car if you ask me. Way too shady, as mentioned by 89IROC&RS but man I would love to buy that car though!!

sure they can, its just a matter of strengthening the vehicle where it is needed. Right now mine is pushing out over 400 ft/lbs and I have (hopefully) gotten the weak points addressed.
